# GST/HST number: register, look up and file

## Short answer

Businesses that earn more than $30,000 a year must register for and charge GST/HST. In Québec, Revenu Québec administers the GST along with the QST.

Who handles it: [Canada Revenue Agency](https://canadaservicemap.ca/bodies/canada-revenue-agency). Handles it everywhere in Canada except Quebec (Revenu Québec).
